In the Women's Knowledge Conference III organized by National Commission for Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) in Depok, October 24-26 2017, I became a panelist on the theme of "Women's Sexuality and Rights Amidst Religion and Cultural Issues."
While the topics of concern in this panel are "Women, Fundamentalism, and Radicalism". Here is an abstract of my paper entitled "Political Islamic Ibuism and the Regional Elections".
Ibuism is an Indonesian cultural ideology. As an ideology, its presence isn’t known to the public at large. But in praxis, ibuism penetrates in all aspect of woman social life. The ideology born at the end of the nineteenth century continues to exist and adapt to the conditions and the spirit of current Indonesia.
